  8.      Chao Meng-fu was a 
  9. scion of the Sung imperial 
  10. family. Gifted in many fields 
  11. of endeavor, he gained fame 
  12. as a statesman, writer, 
  13. painter, and calligrapher.
  14. A master of many styles, 
  15. including cursive, seal, 
  16. pa-fen, and official scripts,
  17. he is regarded as the 
  18. greatest calligrapher 
  19. of the Yuan dynasty  and  
  20. post-Sung period in general.
